Many of our restaurant honor reservations that you can make or we will be happy to make for you. Our area is ripe for the picking, come and do it all OR just relax and do nothing at all. The Copper Beech tree beckons you. The Lemonade will be iced cold and ready. Breakfast alfresco, weather permitting. Our Gardens, I promise, will be popping this year. At the Sutherland House, you can review the menus in the parlor after you have arrived for your stay. However, if you would like to set up your dining arrangements prior to your arrival, please review the following:
Casa de Pasta, located in the City of Canandaigua, this is the closest restaurant to Sutherland House. Creative Italian or just the best spaghetti and meat balls you will ever have. Highly recommended, generous portions. www.casa-de-pasta.com
The Lodge at Bristol Harbor: Just 8 miles south of Sutherland House off 21 South, A log building with a breathtaking Vista view of Canandaigua Lake. Great Golf too! Must be viewed in the daylight to appreciate the view. 585-396-0060 www.bristolharbour.com

Enhance Your Stay in Canandaigua
Planning a stay in our area? The following are just some suggestions you may want to consider:
Lake Activities: Beach Sutherland House is only 1.5 miles from the North end of Canandaigua Lake. There is a sandy beach, beach house and snack shop in Kershaw Park where you can sunbath, swim, walk, relax and launch kayaks and canoes. There is a small fee to enter the gated beach area. Please remember to bring your own beach towels.
Boating and Touring: Launch your own boat: Marine Park, North end of Canandaigua Lake. There are a number of marinas that rent boats by the hour, ½ day or whole day. The following are some telephone numbers to bet more info and to reserve your boat.

Biking: The area is a great place to challenge yourself on 2 wheels. Our natural rolling hills and beautiful scenery add to the joy of cycling.
Horseback Riding: Copper Creek Farm offers wonderful trail rides. Guests that have gone report that is a lot of fun. Reservations a must. Please try to call 2 weeks prior to your intended visit to reserve a spot. 585-289-4441
Picnic Areas: Kershaw Park has picnic tables and caracal grills. Wonderful picnic food can be purchased at Wegmans Grocer Store on Routes 5&20, only 3 miles from Sutherland House. We also have a great County Park, and 2 picnic areas on each side of the Lake. Onanda Park, located 20 minutes down the West side of Canandaigua lake has a great picnic area and swimming area. Great hiking too.
Hiking: Ononda Park located 20 minutes down the West Side of Canandaigua Lake miles and miles of trail.
Cumming Nature Center, Naples NY Tails and nature exhibits.
High Tor Wildlife Mgt Area, Naples, NY Fishing, hiking and mountain biking.
Ontario County Park: Highest scenic point in Western NY. Mountain biking and hiking.

Shopping: There are a number of wonderful shops on our Main Street, just 1.5 miles from Sutherland House. Antique Shops dot the landscape. An outlet mall is only 20 minutes tot eh East and Eastview Mall, a huge indoor mall is only 20 minutes to the West.
Winery Tours: The almost 100 wineries within a 45 minute drive of Sutherland House are open every day but Christmas, New Years and Easter. They offer shopping, sampling and tours. Check the Calendar of Events to see when special happenings are scheduled.
